Tigh a'Chracaich is situated in a bay on the
spectacular North Applecross coast road near the small crofting
township of Kenmore. The view from the lounge gives
a panorama over Loch Torridon, where many scenes from the film
'Loch Ness' were filmed. Across the Loch can be seen the jagged
peaks of the Torridon mountains - Ben Alligin, Liathath and Beinn
Eighe.
The area is of interest to geologists, botanists
and ornithologists. It is ideal for leisure activities - mountaineering,
hill-walking, fishing, sailing, canoeing and diving. This is
an area set in dramatic scenery, dominated by mountains, lochs
and sea, well noted for its exceptional beauty, peace and tranquillity.
Tigh a' Chracaich offers a double bedroom with own bathroom (opposite) and twin bedroom
with en-suite shower room. Guests may join in the use of the lounge, which has a magnificent view overlooking
Loch Torridon. The bedrooms are to the rear of the house.
Breakfast is served from 7.00 - 8.30am. Dinner is optional and is served from 7.00 - 8.30pm. Seafood is our speciality, and is landed from our own boat, the "Tracy Clare". We offer a limited Seafood Selection as an evening meal. Please bring your own wine/beer, which we will cool in the fridge.
